Megacon Recap

On the 15th of this month, Laura and I set off to Carlisle. One quick train journey, and a taxi later we made it to the event! 

How surprised were we to find out that the lovely Katie (Pai-thagoras) and Chris (Christeeny) were also there, they're absolutely lovely so it's was wonderful to see them again :)

We decided to only take a simple display set up with us, as we thought it was just going to be a slow event, where we could chat to stall holders. As per usual we split the table, Laura didn't take any larger pieces so I got more space. You can tell that we're having issues on how we want our display to look, we're working on something new for MCM Scotland in September.

Mostly covering the grids so you can see through, and I think I'll be moving my earrings to the rotating display or a pin board.

But back to the convention, wow! It was a smashing success for me! I actually did better here than at Sunnycon this year, which was a massive shock. Everyone was lovely, the stallholders and the con-goers were all happy to be there, it was such a nice environment to be in, even if I was a little bit sick during the day. A few pretty purchases from the stall next to me made everything better!

One of the stalls closer to the entrance caught my eye, sadly I don't wear heels but I was gushing over these so much!

We're off to MCM Glasgow in a few weeks so hopefully I'll do a little update about that :)

Hello! Sunnycon 4 was at the end of June (I'm running behind!) and I thought I'd do a little post about it.

It was windy.

Very windy.

But it was a great event, Sunnycon always is, just unfortunately due to the strong winds the gazebos were breaking throughout the weekend! But it just threw some excitement into the works. 

Laura (Goffietwerb/Gremlinloquacious) was sharing a table with me again, we really need to start getting 2 in a row instead! On the Saturday we wore Lolita for the first time! I recently bought 2 OP's and a jsk, and I created a simple coord :)

We went to the after party on the Saturday night, and might of had a little bit too much fun :D

It was an absolute blast to do this event and we'll be back next year!

Well hello!

So Sunnycon is approaching fast now, with just over 3 weeks to go preparations are well in the works! There will be new products to grab there, my Legend of Korra jewellery, available as a set or individually, Attack on Titan, new Legend of Zelda products, Rupees, chests and more. 

I'm very much looking forward to showing it all off, although it has been difficult! Goffietwerb aka Laura, is joining me again for this years event, we did it together last year too, but we decided on the day on our stall set up. Now we're 2 steps ahead and have sorted out displays and done a mock set up, nothing can go wrong right??

Look at the preperation!

I'll be bringing a long my first lolita coord to wear on the Saturday, Bodylines Squirrel Party dress in blue, its so pretty! Something nice and light to wear, for Sunday its either Pam from Archer or normal clothing as it was roasting last year!

Next year Sunnycon is moving to Newcastle and I am absolutely excited and happy for the Sunnycon team to get this far! Can't wait to see what the future holds at this event.

When Business Take's Over

Wow! 

It's been a very long time since I've posted on here. Since... July last year, ouch. I've now started selling online and at conventions, and it has been a wonderful time, I've been to Manchester, Glasgow, London, Birmingham, Dundee and allover the North East England. I wouldn't change it. 

Well other than not having a regular income from a regular job, but fingers crossed for a XMAS temp job :)

This is me and the Charles Bazaar stall at LFCC this year, and holy heck, it was amazing. People were lovely there, the guests were fantastic, and we had a great stall next to us. Just, I do wish I could drive, lugging all of the stock, displays and barely having room for clothing is a little bit of a nightmare, but this can be something to aim to do in the future.

My next plan is to update this blog, hopefully merge it with my Charles Bazaar tumblr account and work on general social media, if anyone has any hints or tips, please let me know :)

The Walking Dead 400 Days DLC

A bit late to the gun show I know, we had the new Walking Dead DLC come out last Thursday. This isn't a story about Clem or any of the original members of season 1.

400 days isn't season 2, it's 5 mini episodes just to tide you over till season 2. While playing you'll notice that your choices in season 1 can be seen in these episodes, such as with Russell, hide and you'll see someone familiar.

Again, with Russell, you meet this weird fella, Nate? And one thing you might not notice is the shot out light on his truck, hmm. When you play Wyatt you shoot out someone's front light, could Nate be the one who was chasing Wyatt and his friend Eddie? What about the prison guard who ran away from Vince's story, then Wyatt/Eddie hits, that Russell has the option of killing at the gas station.

Even though it's DLC, there are so many options to it, and the only time you can see the effects is the end, where you see you will possibly be joining you at a later date.

Life of a 23 year old

So instead of going to Cosplay on the Tyne, ran by Sunnycon, I decided to stay in and work on my Aragorn cosplay.

Slightly regretting this as the photos are getting uploaded, getting drunk on a boat, surrounded by fellow geeks,why wasn't I there! :(

O well, at least I got a fair bit of my cosplay done, bag for my belt is done, currently painting the elvish hunting dagger right now, then get to attach it all to my belt.

And! I'm going to be a cosplay judge at Cherricon, woop woop!
